Lulu La Delizia (Lulu’s) was named in honour of our beloved Nonna Luigia, who emigrated from Casarsa della Delizia in Italy’s North in 1952, bringing with her the culinary traditions that inspire everything we create today. Proudly family-owned and operated, Lulu La Delizia continues that legacy — a celebration of family, food, and connection shared with every guest who walks through our doors.
Since opening in 2016 in the heart of Subiaco, we’ve become known as one of the best Italian restaurants in Perth, serving heartfelt cooking, handmade pasta, and good wine with the warmth of true Italian hospitality. In 2024, we expanded our story with the opening of Cantina di Lulu La Delizia — a lively, relaxed space for walk-ins, aperitivi, and wine lovers looking to soak up the Lulu spirit in a more casual way.

Next door, our Cantina is your perfect little Italian Wine Bar in Subiaco. It offers a more relaxed space for walk-ins, casual dining, and pre-dinner or post-dinner drinks. It’s where friends gather, glasses clink, and the pace slows down. Cantina has an amazing selection of Italian cocktails, aperitivi and digestivi. Join us for a pre-dinner drink and stay for dinner and a late night cocktail. Lulu’s co-founder and head of house, Joel Valvasori, has spent over two decades shaping some of Australia’s finest kitchens in Melbourne and Perth. Since his first Head Chef role in 2008, Joel’s been recognised for his bold approach to Italian cuisine, earning national critical acclaim and being named the WA Good Food Guide Chef of the Year in 2021. When he opened Lulu La Delizia in 2016, Perth finally had its first dedicated, premium handmade pasta restaurant. Since then, Lulu has earned accolades including WA Restaurant of the Year (2022) from both the WA Good Food Guide and Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide.
